Why I Chose to do Electronic Engineering

It boggles the mind to think that out of all the nicely paying jobs, someone with qualifications that could allow him to do any degree of his choice, except Accounting, would choose to do Electronic Engineering above all.

The reasons come from the importance of the field to the human race and the development of modern civilization. Lets take a look at the early stages of child development in the womb.

This laboratory uses scanning equipment for genetic scanning and screening. Visit the  IVF Blog to get the details of this laboratory set up. It does not require any explanation to understand that electronics is the back bone of this laboratory.

So after realizing the importance of electronics both in industry, home and above all in medical facilities, one who cares about people would want to play their part by being involved in life saving through electronic technology.

Now as time goes on, we realize that life in the modern world will not be life if all electronic equipment is removed. For example, you are reading this blog, thanks to electronic hardware and communication systems. The world has become a global village, thanks to electronics. Due to electronics, we can hold meetings without being limited by geographical distance, thanks to electronic conferencing systems.

Well, this is just but a small portion of applications that are highly dependent of electronics. If I had a second chance to choose my profession, I would still choose to be an electronic engineer.

Long live Electronics and supporting fields.
